As a young Child I was Heavily influenced by my Aunt and Uncle's who were teenage Artist and helped to start my Passion for Creative Expression. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to study art at Sacramento City College, CA. and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY
I use many different mediums, such as oil, acrylics, and pastels. Drawing and Printmaking is a big part of how I tell my story. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style and Medium in painting!
I'm a student of Art History and after working at the National Gallery in Washington DC, of course the influence of the early Masters of painting have all played a part of how I see, but it's the African American Spiritual experience that influences both my Figurative and Abstract Art Work.
